A Brownstone filled with color in the Center Slope
For this family of five, saturated colors reminded them of their time living & traveling abroad in Russia, India, Scandinavia & more.
The mango walls & magenta ceiling — inspired by Goa — are incandescent when espied from the sidewalk at night. New mint paint on existing kitchen cabinets is paired with chartreuse. Teal provides a backdrop for straw brooms used by babushkas to sweep the streets of Moscow.
Most of the wondrous colors in this home were made by Citron, a now closed Tucson-based boutique paint company founded by artist CJ Volk, who mixed her curated palette of full-spectrum colors without using black or grey.
SO YOU’LL LOVE TO COME HOME
